MSME Month – ShilperSamadhane 2025 was successfully organised across all Blocks, Municipalities, and Municipal Corporations of West Bengal as a major doorstep outreach initiative to support potential, budding, and existing entrepreneurs. The programme aimed to extend hand-holding assistance for availing benefits under various schemes of the Government of West Bengal, with special emphasis on those implemented by the Department of MSME&T and other related Departments. The initiative provided a platform for entrepreneurs to access information, submit applications, complete documentation, and receive on-spot services through a convergence of multiple Departments and agencies. District Industries Centres (DICs) coordinated and monitored field-level activities, ensuring wide mobilisation and smooth functioning of the camps.

  • • Government Schemes Covered: 31
  • • Total Applications Received: 1,53,554
  • • Total Services Delivered During Camp Period: 1,20,478

  • • Comprehensive coverage ensured access to every entrepreneur across rural and urban areas.
  • • Convergence with Departments such as MSME&T, MA& ME, TET&SD, Panchayat& Rural Development, Agriculture, Higher Education, BCW&FPI&H.
  • • Major benefits extended included Bhabishyat Credit Card, Udyam Registration, Registration on GeM Portal, PAN Registration, Lodging delayed payment related issue, Enlisting of artisan/weaver, Statutory Clearance, Toolkits for Artisans, Death Benefit for Artisans & Weavers, REH, Khadi& Weavers Bewnefit Scheme, Minority Women Empowerment Programme and Microfinance,Collection of requirement of training from Industry,Credit linkage to SHGs under Anandadhara, Student Credit Card),MahilaSamriddhiYojana (MSY), Skill Development Programme with Employment Support),MIDH Scheme, RKVY Scheme

Impact

The large participation and high service-delivery rate reflect strong entrepreneurial interest and the State’s successful last-mile service delivery approach. The programme strengthened the MSME ecosystem by ensuring equitable access to schemes, accelerating enterprise development, and enhancing trust between the Government and the entrepreneurial community.
